Kona Espresso. Our unique take on classic Italian espresso. Since the beginning of our company’s inception, we’ve been on a mission to create the smoothest tasting espresso, and finally, we have. What makes our espresso unlike any other on the market is the fact that we use Kona Extra Fancy beans in our espresso blend. Like our Kona Blend, our espresso blend contains 35% Kona beans, offering espresso lovers a surprisingly smooth twist. We choose to roast our espresso to a Full City Roast because we find it to be the sweet spot for those who love the typical characteristics of dark roast coffee but still want to detect some of the coffee bean's origin characteristics. When coffee beans are roasted longer (i.e., to a French or Italian Roast), the origin characteristics, such as aroma and flavor, are eclipsed by the roast (i.e., you can no longer taste where the coffee is from). Our Kona Espresso has the perfect amount of crema, is clean, well-balanced, and bittersweet with caramel undertones and muted acidity.
