That often results in a flat, underwhelming brew that barely hints at the true Kona profile. Our 51% Kona Blend was created to raise the bar — and then some. At more than half real Kona, it’s no longer just a blend with “a touch” of Kona. It’s a Kona-forward experience, backed by the same rare cut of beans we use in our flagship 100% Kona Coffee (Private Reserve). The result? A cup with genuine depth, balance, and the unmistakable buttery clarity of true Hawaiian-grown coffee. If you’ve ever been let down by a typical Kona blend, this might be the one that changes your mind.

How to Brew a High-Ratio Kona Blend (51%)

To bring out the full character of our 51% Kona Blend, we recommend brewing it with the same care you’d give to a premium single-origin roast. The high concentration of authentic Kona coffee means the cup carries distinct sweetness, buttery clarity, and bright acidity — and the right technique helps those notes shine. Start with a coffee-to-water ratio of 1:15.5 to 1:16 (for example, 20g of coffee to 310–320g of water). Heat your water to around 200°F (93.5°C) and use filtered water for the cleanest extraction. A pour-over method like the V60 or Chemex works beautifully, but a French press or high-quality drip machine with a metal filter also brings out the blend’s depth. Grind your beans to a medium or medium-fine consistency — slightly finer than sea salt — to balance flow rate and clarity. Begin with a bloom pour, saturating the grounds with about double the coffee’s weight in water and letting it sit for 30–45 seconds. Then slowly pour the remaining water in stages, keeping the flow steady and even. Total brew time should be around 3 to 3½ minutes. This blend rewards precision — and patience. Brewed right, it offers a cup that highlights the Kona majority, supported by carefully chosen companion beans, with a finish that's smooth, complex, and quietly unforgettable.
